TDWI Chapter Sponsor Benefits
TDWI Chapters conduct at least four meetings a year and in general attract between 25 and 75 business intelligence and data warehousing professionals to each meeting. Attendees are BI/DW directors/managers, architects, and consultants, but attendees also include business sponsors, systems administrators, and developers depending on the topics. For more information or to Sponsor a Chapter, please contact chapters@tdwi.org.
Chapter Objectives and Purpose
To foster education and networking at the local level, TDWI sponsors Chapters in regions throughout the world. The purpose of TDWI Chapters is to:
- Bring together TDWI Members in a geographic area to share best practices.
- Enable TDWI Members to create strong local networks of BI/DW professionals with whom they can share ideas and provide mutual support.
- Educate TDWI Members about the critical success factors involved in building and maintaining BI/DW solutions.
- Educate the vendor community about the unique requirements of BI/DW organizations in a specific geographic area.
- Promote TDWI events, programs and Membership to local BI/DW professionals.
TDWI Chapters need to remain faithful to the spirit and guiding principles of TDWI. This means that TDWI Chapters will:
- Deliver high-quality, vendor neutral education, networking, and training opportunities.
- Work to advance the professional development of local BI/DW professionals.
- Be faithful ambassadors of TDWI at the local level.
Sponsors receive the following benefits:
- Each sponsor’s logo or name appears on a table sign that is displayed prominently at each Chapter meeting.
- Sponsors can place collateral on a sponsorship table set up in or near the Chapter meeting room.
- Sponsors are recognized at the beginning of each Chapter meeting.
- Sponsors are listed as sponsors on the Chapter’s Web site.
- Sponsors can submit “door prizes” at Chapter meetings if the Chapter board is amenable.
- Sponsors can market Chapter meetings to their local customers and prospects as long as they properly attribute their affiliation with the Chapter (i.e. a Chapter sponsor) and adhere to TDWI branding policies.
Not included in sponsorship:
- Speaking slots. (However, sponsors may be invited to speak because they have valued expertise and knowledge, but sponsorship does NOT guarantee a speaking slot or even a discussion of a speaking slot. There is NO linkage between sponsorship and speaking.)
- The right to distribute “giveaway” items to each attendee at Chapter meetings.
- Attendee lists or contact information, unless voluntarily provided by attendees.
