Améliorer la qualité des données en alignant les producteurs et consommateurs de données.

Nous avons tous nos histoires de guerre de qualité de données. Certains départements produisent des données, d'autres les consomment. Chaque département a ses propres intérêts, selon son école de pensé qui n'est peut-être pas synchronisée avec le reste de l'entreprise. Pour avoir du succès, un programme de qualité de données aligne les intérêts des producteurs et des consommateurs de données. Cette conférence discutera des sujets suivants:

• Échantillon de business cases provenant du livre "Selling Information Governance to the Business" dont notre conférencier est l'auteur
• Utilisation de techniques simples de gestion des processus d'affaires
• Identification d'éléments de données critiques
• Création d'un tableau de bord de la qualité de données
• Alignement des "data stewards" avec le tableau de bord de la qualité de données
• Arrimage des politiques de qualité de données et des processus d'affaires
• Réutilisations des concepts RACI pour comprendre la propriété des données
• Les impératifs émergents de qualité de données avec le "big data"

Improving Data Quality by Aligning the Producers and Consumers of Data.

We all have our own data quality war stories. Some departments produce data that others consume. Each department has its own parochial interests that may not be in sync with the rest of the enterprise. Successful data quality programs align the interests of the producers and consumers of data. This session will discuss the following topics:

• Sample business cases from the author's book "Selling Information Governance to the Business"
• Use of simple business process management techniques
• Identifying critical data elements
• Creating a data quality scorecard
• Aligning data stewards with the data quality scorecard
• Mapping data quality policies to business processes
• Leveraging RACI concepts to understand data ownership
• Emerging data quality imperatives around big data

Sunil Soares est le fondateur et directeur associé de Information Asset, LLC, une firme de consultation se spécialisant à aider les organisations à construire leur programme de gouvernance des données. Avant d'occuper ce poste, Sunil était directeur de la gouvernance de l'information chez IBM, et a travaillé avec des clients sur 6 continents et dans de multiples industries.
Le premier livre de Sunil, " The IBM Data Governance Unified Process", détaille les 14 étapes et près de 100 sous-étapes permettant d'implémenter un programme de gouvernance des données. Le livre a été utilisé par plusieurs organisations comme le plan directeur pour leur programme de gouvernance des données et a aussi été traduit en chinois.
Le second livre de Sunil, "Selling Information Governance to the Business: Best Practices by Industry and Job Function", révise le meilleur moyen d'approcher la gouvernance de données par industrie et par fonction.
Le troisième livre de Sunil, "Big Data Governance", révise l'importance de la gouvernance des données pour différents types de "big data" comme les médias sociaux, les interactions machine-machine, les transactions de données volumineuses, la biométrie et les données générées par les humains.
Sunil a aussi travaillé pour la pratique de consultation en services de stratégie financière de Booz Allen & Hamilton de New-York et détient un MBA en finance et marketing de la Booth School of Business de l'Université de Chicago.

You are cordially invited to listen to Mr. Sunil Soares. Sunil Soares is the founder and managing partner of Information Asset, LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in helping organizations build out their data governance programs. Prior to this role, Sunil was the Director of Information Governance at IBM, and worked with clients across six continents and multiple industries.  
Sunil’s first book, "The IBM Data Governance Unified Process", details the fourteen steps and almost one hundred sub-steps to implement a data governance program. The book has been used by several organizations as the blueprint for their data governance programs, and has also been translated into Chinese.
Sunil’s second book, "Selling Information Governance to the Business: Best Practices by Industry and Job Function", reviews the best way to approach data governance by industry and function.
Sunil’s third book, "Big Data Governance", reviews the importance of data governance for different types of big data such as social media, machine-to-machine, big transaction data, biometrics, and human generated data.
Sunil has also worked at the Financial Services Strategy Consulting Practice of Booz Allen & Hamilton in New York. Sunil lives in New Jersey and holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
